News from OIP: ANNUAL UIPA LOGS DUE

Posted on Jul 8, 2025 in Featured, What's New

With the end of FY 2025, it is time for all Hawaii State and county agencies to start a new UIPA Record Request Log for FY 2026.  The Office of Information Practices (OIP) would like to remind agencies to close out their FY 2025 Log and start a new FY 2026 Log for record requests received from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.

Agencies can continue to complete and log requests received from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, on their FY 2025 Log until they submit their logs to the agency’s Log Coordinator.  This gives agencies extra time to complete requests received through June 30, 2025, and account for it on their FY 2025 Log.  Please review OIP’s log instructions worksheet (attached) where you’ll find Frequently Asked Questions and updated instructions on how to fill out the log: https://oip.hawaii.gov/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/INSTRUCTIONS-TO-COMPLETE-UIPA-RECORD-REQUEST-LOG-July-2024.pdf

By July 31, 2025, agencies must submit to OIP, through their Log Coordinator, their FY 2025 UIPA Record Request Logs and FY 2025 Checklist.  Forms, instructions, and other training materials are available on the UIPA Record Request Log Training page at oip.hawaii.gov.  Please send your completed log reports, checklists and any log related questions to [email protected].

Mahalo!
