Green Coffee Beans Importation Records Public
Records maintained by the State Department of Agriculture concerning the importation of green coffee beans by the private sector should be made available for public inspection and copying under the UIPA. However, any information contained in these records that would reveal the price or quantity of the imported green coffee beans constitutes “confidential commercial and financial information” protected under the UIPA’s “frustration of a legitimate government function” exception, and must be segregated from the records before they are disclosed.
