Contractors License Revocation Information
[OIP Op. Ltr. No. 05-03 partially overrules this opinion to the extent that it states or implies that the UIPA’s privacy exception in section 92F-13(1), HRS, either prohibits public disclosure or mandates confidentiality.]
Information about the revocation of contractors licenses may be disclosed to a national association of licensing agencies, except for the social security numbers and birthdates of individuals. Under the UIPA, the names of licensees and the status of the license must be publicly accessible.
