2 Bills Vetoed

On July 12, 2022, Governor David Ige vetoed the following two bills:  S.B. 3252, S.D. 2, H.D. 2, C.D. 1 relating to Public Records and S.B. 3172, S.D. 1, H.D. 2, C.D 1 relating to Public Agency Meetings.  These bills were previously described in a What’s New article on June 29, 2022.

Two other Sunshine Law bills have already gone into effect:  H.B. 2026, H.D. 2, S.D. 1 relating to Chapter 92, HRS, effective July 8, 2022, and  S.B. 3219. H.D. 1, C.D. 1 relating to the Sunshine Law, effective July 1, 2022.  These bills were previously described in What’s New articles on July 8, 2022,  May 5, 2022 and April 29, 2022.  OIP is working on updates to its online training materials to reflect the new laws.
