SUMMARIES OF LATEST INFORMAL OPINIONS ARE POSTED

Posted on Oct 1, 2018 in Featured, What's New

The Office of Information Practices (OIP) has posted summaries of its latest informal opinions on OIP’s Opinion page at oip.hawaii.gov.

In U Memo 19-1 and U Memo 19-3, OIP concluded that the agencies had conducted reasonable searches for records and no responsive records were found.  In U Memo 19-2, OIP determined that the names and respective job titles of government employees are always public under section 92F-12(a)(14), HRS, even if the County had previously disclosed exact salaries, rather than salary ranges, so that the requester could ascertain the exact salary of the identified bargaining unit employees.
