SEMIANNUAL UIPA LOG DUE
Posted on Jan 5, 2017 in Featured, What's NewHAPPY NEW YEAR, from the state Office of Information Practices (OIP)!
Actually, government agencies are already halfway through fiscal year 2017 and it is time for all state and county government agencies to save a copy of their UIPA Record Request Log data for the semiannual period for record requests received from July 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016. Each department’s UIPA Coordinator should collect and provide to OIP a copy of each agency’s FY 2017 Log and Checklist for this semiannual period, which are due to OIP by January 31, 2017. Coordinators should review each agency’s Log to ensure that they are using the FY 2017 Log form, and not prior year’s forms that have different formulas.
To save an electronic copy of their Semiannual Log, agencies should use the “save as” function and re-name it as their agency’s FY 2017 Semiannual Log. Agencies should continue adding to their original Log for the rest of fiscal year 2017. Annual data for the period from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017 will be collected after the fiscal year ends. Training on the UIPA Record Request Log can be found on the UIPA Record Request Log Training page at oip.hawaii.gov.
