NEW FISCAL YEAR, NEW LOG, NEW HOME FOR OIP

Posted on Jul 1, 2016 in Featured, What's New

As we start the new fiscal year, the Office of Information Practices (OIP) would like to remind agencies to begin using the new FY 2017 Log found on the UIPA Record Request Log Training page at oip.hawaii.gov.  While agencies still have some time to complete record requests received through June 30, 2016 and report them on their FY 2016 Logs, please remember to submit the year-end Logs and FY 2016 Checklist through the agencies’ UIPA Coordinators to OIP by July 31, 2016.

Also with the start of the new fiscal year, OIP will be moving – not physically, but for administrative purposes only – to the Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS).  After being a “temporary” agency administratively attached to the Office of the Lt. Governor since 1998, OIP has found a “permanent” home at DAGS, effective July 1, 2016, where OIP will receive administrative support while remaining an independent agency.  OIP would like to thank the Office of the Lt. Governor for the support that it has provided all these years, and also thank DAGS for assisting OIP this past year to make a smooth transition.
