FY 2018 YEAR-END UIPA RECORD REQUEST LOGS AND CHECKLISTS DUE

Posted on Jul 11, 2018 in Featured, What's New

Just a friendly reminder from the state Office of Information Practices (OIP) that the FY 2018 Year-End UIPA Record Request Logs and Checklists must be submitted to OIP by July 31, 2018.  By now, all state, county, and independent agencies should have completed and logged for FY 2018 most of the requests that they received through June 30, 2018.  Each agency should provide their FY 2018 Logs to their UIPA Coordinator for submission to OIP by July 31.  OIP will then input the summaries of the agencies’ Logs onto the Master UIPA Record Request Log for FY 2018 at data.hawaii.gov.

Please be sure to save a copy of your agency’s FY 2018 Log, and begin a new FY 2019 UIPA Record Request Log to cover requests received from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.  No changes have yet been made to the Log forms or procedures, as OIP has not yet adopted new administrative rules and is awaiting legal review before it can continue the rulemaking process and go to public hearing on its proposed rules.  Therefore, please continue to use the forms, instructions, and other training materials that are posted on the UIPA Record Request Log Training page at oip.hawaii.gov.  Mahalo!
