CLE PROGRAM ON MARCH 4
Posted on Feb 19, 2016 in Featured, What's NewThe state Office of Information Practices (OIP) is pleased to announce that it will be conducting a free continuing legal education program on Friday, March 4, 2016, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., which is being sponsored by the Government Lawyers’ Section (GLS) of the Hawaii State Bar Association and will offer 1.5 hours of CLE credits to GLS members.
OIP Director Cheryl Kakazu Park and Staff Attorney Jennifer Brooks will be presenting the program entitled “How to Respond to a Public Records Request” and will include the following topics: recognizing a records request; deadlines for requests; using OIP’s “UIPA Record Request Log;” identifying records responsive to the request; completing the notice to requester; exceptions to disclosure; fees; and interagency requests.
The program will be presented live at the City’s Mission Memorial Auditorium in Honolulu. The presentation can also be viewed on the neighbor islands at the following locations:
