2016 FINAL LEGISLATIVE WRAP-UP
Posted on May 6, 2016 in Featured, What's NewAfter monitoring 175 bills, including 94 that carried over from the 2015 session, and testifying on 24 bills, the state Office of Information Practices (OIP) confirms that only one bill directly affecting the laws administered by OIP passed the Legislature this session. As reported on May 2, 2016, the Legislature passed S.B. 2121, S.D. 1, H.D. 1, C.D.1, which essentially retains the Sunshine Law’s strict limitations over councilmembers’ attendance at another board or community group’s meeting.
