Office of Information Practices

The State Office of Information Practices has posted a link to its 2013 OIP Update, which discusses the most significant developments concerning the UIPA and Sunshine Law and was previously presented as a continuing legal education program.  While MCPE credits are no longer being awarded to attorneys for this Update, the power point presentation with voiceover and transcript will be posted on OIP’s training page at oip.hawaii.gov for the benefit of all interested persons. 

Additionally, OIP reminds agencies that their UIPA Record Request Log summaries must be uploaded onto the Master Log at data.hawaii.gov by tomorrow, January 31, 2014.  Training on how to fill out and upload each agency’s Log can be found on the training page at oip.hawaii.gov.
