Posted on Feb 5, 2014 in Featured, What's New

The State Office of Information Practices has been busy tracking and testifying on numerous legislative proposals.  Coming up for a hearing tomorrow, February 6, 2014, at 3:00 p.m., in conference room 224, before the Senate Committee on Public Safety, Intergovernmental and Military Affairs, is Senate Bill 2962, which would add a new permitted interaction to the Sunshine Law allowing members of a county council to jointly attend any meeting or presentation open to the public.

Additionally, the House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. in conference room 325, House Bill 2235, which would clarify how the proposed adoption, amendment, or repeal of administrative rules may be described in public agency meeting agendas.
